▷ this work is done by students in an introductory level computer art class
▷ covering a broad array of subject matter and techniques, the course teaches computer skills but also introduces aspects of conceptual foundations
▷ created using adobe photoshop, a significant aspect of this project is that no photographic imagery is included in the final artwork
▷ it begins with the student defining for themselves a significant or sacred place
▷ the task is to then represent that place using photoshop in a painterly manner
▷ complex tools are introduced, such as custom brushes and advanced image management techniques, utilized in conjunction with previously acquired photoshop skills
▷ in addition to the technological tools, traditional aspects of painting are  discussed to provide a more concrete methodology
