\u25b7<\/span>\u00a0this work is done by students in a mid-level computer-aided design course
\n\u25b7<\/span>\u00a0the courses’ emphasis is on design principles and visual communication fundamentals with a concentration on print graphics
\n\u25b7<\/span>\u00a0the class utilizes a variety of projects to introduce the technical aspects of the graphic design field as well as focusing on developing the working methodology necessary for good design
\n\u25b7\u00a0<\/span>this project entails designing the cover, spine, back cover and interior pages for an illustrated, coffee-table version of one of three classic texts: heart of darkness, war of the worlds or lord of the flies
\n\u25b7\u00a0<\/span>introducing indesign as a multi-page layout application, emphasis is placed on concept development, design continuity, copy setting, and image inclusion, with student generated illustrations strongly encouraged
\n\u25b7\u00a0<\/span>in addition to the computer design work, the projects are printed out and assembled into a rough comprehensive, providing the student with a more concrete understanding of the actual piece<\/p>\n
